Today's Tastemaker works with fashion and beauty bloggers all day long, so it stands to reason that she would have skills in the wardrobe department. Let's meet her and see if you can steal some secrets for a simple-but-effective wardrobe.
Name: Jillian Bove
Occupation: I am a Digital Project Manager for Style Coalition, a collective of online influencers associated with Hearst Network.
What are you wearing today? I'm wearing a BCBG dress, a Zara blazer, Nine West shoes and my fabulous cocktail ring is from C.Wonder.
Ooh! Very cool! What's your secret to maximizing your wardrobe? I start basic, really, and try to stay in the same color family. I use colors that complement each other. I also don't put too much together, meaning that if I'm going to go with something with a color-blocked dress and a simple blazer with striped lining, I go really simple with the shoe. Like the outfit I'm wearing today. The nude shoe doesn't compete with the other clothing items.
What are your three can't-live-without-them wardrobe items? You can't live without a fun sundress, a pair of comfortable-yet-stylish shoes, and one good statement accessory.
How would you describe your personal style? I would say practical, because living in New York City I'm not really one to throw on sky-high shoes and go dashing down Third Avenue. I would like to say effortlessly chic, that all my wardrobe items are easy, they work well together and I tend to err on the side of a wardrobe of pieces that all work well together.
Any tips to looking desk-to-dinner ready in a hurry? I would throw on a pair of shoes that are a little more glamorous, then amp up your look with black eyeliner and a couple of curls and you're all set.

Treating a sunburn? Soak a facecloth in a bowl of skim milk and ice. Apply it to the area for five to ten minutes.
Got a burning-red blemish? Cut a tomato in half and hold it on your zit to shrink it naturally.
Whether it’s fancy French sea salt or Morton’s iodized (when it rains, it pours), you can use it to make a paste by mixing with a little water and leave on pimples overnight to tame inflamed skin.
Keep ‘em in the fridge, slice ‘em thin and put them on your peepers to refresh and depuff your eye area.
Mix one part olive oil with three parts brown sugar to create an at-home scrub. You can also use it solo as a moisturizer for hair, face, and body.
The enzymes in this fruit helps stimulate your complexion by digesting dead skin cells to leave your mug glowing.
What are your favorite farmer’s market beauty tips?

When playing with makeup, I feel like you can have the most fun with your eyes. Any part of your face make a statement — even the skin — but let's be honest, the eyes aren't called windows into your soul for no reason. For this season, one of my favorite runway trends was the glittery and shimmering eye. Though a bit dramatic on the catwalk, it easily translates it into real life. What's wonderful about this look (when done appropriately) is that it expresses fantasy and delicacy —... Read more
